Newsweek: UCSC Is a Place for 'Overachievers Who Need to Stop and Look Around'
UC Santa Cruz was among the 25 colleges featured in Newsweek Magazine's special fall 2009 college issue, which called the campus a place for "Overachievers Who Need to Stop and Look Around." Other colleges featured in the "Finding the Right College for You" article included Stanford University, Vassar College, University of Michigan, Brown University, Smith College, and University of Notre Dame.
