DESCRIPTION
Located three miles from campus on the shoreline
of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary,
Long Marine Laboratory (LML) has facilities for
research, instruction, and public education. Adjacent
to LML, the Seymour Marine Discovery Center will
open in Spring 2000 and is expected to host nearly
80,000 schoolchildren yearly as well as other
visitors, nearly tripling LML's current capacity.
