1- Start with Math and English - Be sure you’re working toward passing UC-transferable math and English courses.
2- Prepare for Your Major - Most of UC Santa Cruz’s majors have specific screening criteria, including coursework and GPAs. Plan ahead by looking up the requirements. Non-screening majors are listed here.
4- Sign up for UC TAP - UC TAP is a tool that allows you to track and plan your California community college coursework in order to qualify for admission to UC.
5- Check the UC Transfer Pathways website to see if your major has a single set of courses already mapped out.
6- Check the statewide ASSIST website for course-to-course articulation agreements for the University of California.
Be sure to work with your community college advisers, and access the UCSC transfer admissions information to view our campus selection criteria.
Best wishes to you on your transfer journey!
