Apply to the University
Applying to UC Santa Cruz requires completing an online University of California application and submitting it on time per posted deadlines. UCSC is open for new freshmen and transfer students each fall quarter.
Fill out your online application and submit it during the application filing period. The application can be used for multiple UC campuses, and it is also an application for scholarships.
The fee for applying to UC Santa Cruz is $70 for U.S. students. If you apply to more than one University of California campus at the same time, submit $70 for each UC campus you apply to. Fee waivers are available for students with qualifying family incomes. The fee for international applicants is $80 per campus.
Applicants for winter 2017: The application filing deadline is July 31, 2016. Please note that this application filing period is only for junior-level transfers and is not open to all majors. For further details, please see the UCSC Transfer Admissions page.
Applicants for fall 2017: The UC Application for fall 2017 will open on August 1, 2016. We recommend that you start your application early in order to be on time for the filing period, which is November 1-30, 2016.
