Applying to UC Santa Cruz requires completing an online University of California application and submitting it on time per posted deadlines. UCSC is open for new freshmen and transfer students each fall quarter. In addition, UC Santa Cruz is open to junior-level transfers in selected majors for winter quarters 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Fill out your online application and submit it during the application filing period. The application can be used for multiple UC campuses, and it is also an application for scholarships.

The fee for applying to UC Santa Cruz is $70 for U.S. students. If you apply to more than one University of California campus at the same time, submit $70 for each UC campus you apply to. Fee waivers are available for students with qualifying family incomes. The fee for international applicants is $80 per campus.

Applicants for winter 2018: The UC Application for winter 2018 opens on July 1, 2017, and the filing deadline is July 31, 2017.

Applicants for fall 2018: The UC Application for fall 2018 will open on August 1, 2017. We recommend that you start your application early in order to be on time for the filing period, which is November 1-30, 2017.
