Residency for fee purposes is determined after admission based on documentation that you will provide us when you decide to enroll. To help with tuition expenses, UC Santa Cruz offers the Undergraduate Dean's Scholarships and Awards, which range from $12,000 to $40,000, split over four years for freshmen. For transfer students, the awards range from $6,000 to $20,000 over two years. These awards are intended to offset non-resident tuition and will be discontinued if the student becomes a California resident.
