Program Overview
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) rapidly grows across industries, UC Santa Cruz – with our connections to Silicon Valley development and innovation, as well as our focus on the ethics of emerging technologies – is an excellent place to learn about and apply AI.
AI courses are featured in the following UCSC majors: Computer Science B.S. or B.A., Computer Science: Computer Game Design, Technology and Information Management, and Computer Engineering.
UCSC is home to the innovative Generative AI Center and the AI Art Augmentation and Acceleration Lab, hosted by the Arts Division, as well as several AI-themed student organizations, such as Santa Cruz AI, the Autonomy Club, and Slugbotics.
UCSC Silicon Valley Extension also offers a professional certificate for Artificial Intelligence Application Development, where Silicon Valley industry leaders teach courses in developing software for today’s emerging business strategies.
