Campus Tours

A Message to Prospective and Admitted Students Planning to Tour Campus

In light of the current coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, Undergraduate Admissions is following our campus directive, effective March 10, to suspend any activities that will result in a gathering of 50 or more people. This includes Admitted Student Tours, Banana Slug Day, regular campus tours, and group tours. As an alternative, we recommend our Virtual Tour, hosted by our student tour guides.

There is currently no official date for the resumption of campus tours. The health and safety of our visitors and of our campus community is our top priority. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Come join us for a UC Santa Cruz campus tour! Our informative Student Life and University Guides provide insight into the undergraduate experience, highlight our high-impact interdisciplinary research and world renowned faculty, and showcase our stunning campus environment. Please note, as our campus is 2,000 acres of land, we are able to best show the campus using a combination of walking and shuttle. The campus tour vehicle has a fixed number of seats, and we are only able to accommodate a fixed number of visitors at each tour time.

Reservations are required.

Prospective Student Tours

We welcome prospective students to campus for guided or self-guided tours Monday-Friday. Please note we are unable to provide guided tours during the month of December and through late-January, although guests are welcome to undertake a self-guided tour during this time frame.

Families should schedule a visit on one of our regular weekday tours, even if the group consists of more than five members.

We love animals, but please leave your pets at home. Dogs and cats are prohibited from the UCSC campus. Even if you bring your dog to campus and keep it inside your vehicle, you will be ticketed by Campus Police. Exemptions are granted for service dogs. For further information, go to UCSC’s Policy for Service Animals on Campus.

Also, we apologize, but we do not have enough parking space to accommodate RVs.
