Accessing Your TAG Decision
If you have submitted a UC Santa Cruz Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG), you can access your decision and information by logging into your UC Transfer Admission Planner (UC TAP) account on or after November 15. Counselors will also have direct access to their students' TAG decisions via the TAG review form, which can be viewed through the Student Lookup, myTAGs or various reports on the UC TAG site.
Following are answers to some of the questions most commonly asked about UC Santa Cruz TAG decisions:
My TAG Was Approved
A: Yes. Authorized counselors at your community college will have access to your decision.
A: Go to the "My Information" section of your UC Transfer Admission Planner, and make the appropriate updates to your personal information. If you've already started filling out your UC application for undergraduate admission and scholarships, please be sure to make corrections there as well.
A: Yes! Your TAG contract stipulates that you must submit the UC application for undergraduate admission and scholarships by the posted final deadline. Remember, you can import your academic information directly from your UC TAP into the UC application!
A: Review your UC Santa Cruz TAG Decision Form carefully—the terms of your TAG require that you complete the coursework specified in your contract by the indicated terms. If you do not complete coursework specified in your TAG contract, you will have failed to meet your conditions of admission and will jeopardize your admission guarantee.
Changes that might affect your TAG include: changing your course schedule, dropping a class, discovering that the courses you planned will not be offered at your college, and attending another California Community College (CCC).
If your college will not offer a course required by your TAG contract, you should plan to complete the course at another CCC—be sure to visit assist.org to ensure that any courses taken will satisfy your TAG requirements.
If you are attending a CCC different than the one you attended when your TAG was submitted, visit assist.org to ensure that courses at your new school will satisfy your TAG requirements and make certain that you do not duplicate coursework.
When completing the UC application, provide your current course schedule and tentative spring schedule. Notify UC Santa Cruz and any other UC campuses about coursework changes and grades in January using the UC Transfer Academic Update.
